skybox singularity

The sun fell so slow it scraped at the edge of the skybox. Mankind had eventually agreed that the world was round and blamed their ignorance on the Catholic church. Still, it seemed that nobody but Jeremy Dixon realized that it was also encased in a cube of LED screens, 18,302 km on each diagonal.

This wasn’t the first time that mankind had been fooled by a bit of clever programming and it wouldn’t be the last. As the screens were being installed, there had been scientists who raised warnings about minute traces of certain types of radiation which seemed to be reflecting back toward the planet but they were promptly dismissed as crackpots by the establishment and cuckolded into early retirement.
