also, on a side note, you'll piss off a lot of people if you don't get ridley scott, who, although he refuses to give philip k. dick much credit for the movie, is still probably the best candidate for the job.
if you can't get ridley scott to do it, consider kathryn bigelow, i think she could take a pretty good crack at it.
