garnering opinions about avg free vs. microsoft security essentials.
i've used avg free for many years with good success.
does anyone have first hand knowledge of using them both?
opinion seems to range but this link probably sums it up:
four free antivirus products -- pick a random one and use it -- because they're basically all the same
in any case, if you don't have an antivirus program, you should consider installing one of these.
avg free
microsoft security essentials
and remember -- you should only use one antivirus program -- if you install more than one at the same time, you're asking for trouble.
as is often said by me, right now for the first time, "the more ninjas you have in a room, the more likely you're going to get hurt but it's a good idea to have at least one ninja on-hand for special occasions".
